MR. WILL BE WINS AT 133-1 ODDS, PAYING $269.20 TO WIN
OKLAHOMA CITY – Mr. Will Be made just his second career start on Wednesday night and his first at Remington Park. He obviously liked the track and his surroundings as he weaved his way through traffic to the highest paying win payoff of this season.
Jockey Dakota Wood maneuvered Mr. Will Be around foes, down to the rail during the stretch, then off the rail in order to split rivals in the final sixteenth of a mile to gain the advantage, scoring by 1-1/2 lengths. Builtlikeabrick was second with Fancy Fellow another 2-1/4 lengths behind the runner-up for third.
Owned and bred in Oklahoma by Randy Swango of Collinsville, Okla., Mr. Will Be is trained by Jimmy Cox. The 4-year-old gelding handled six furlongs in 1:13.06 over a fast track.
Mr. Will Be paid $269.20 to win, the highest $2 win pari-mutuel payoff this season at Remington Park. He also returned $87.20 to place and $21.80 to show.
The first victory from two career starts was worth $6,004 to Mr. Will Be, a son of Wood Reply from the Jr. Prospect mare Spotted Salome.
