Trainer Richards sets win record at Prairie Meadows

Winning his 65th race in 190 starts (34.2%) popular Midwest trainer Chris Richard broke the record for most wins at Prairie Meadows on Aug. 12. Richards broke the record of Dick Clark, who won 64 races in 259 races (24.7% in 2006.
Richards, who began his training career in 1998, said of the accomplishment, "I just feel privileged to train for [owner] Maggi Moss and everything she has done for me, and River Ridge Ranch. I've just had some very good horses to work with this year.”
